Great Great Machine, shame about 1 real flaw (Compaq Presario CQ71-140EA)

Well well, finally a decent laptop for Under £500.

I got this through a recent insurance claim after my Acer Laptop decided to die a death and wouldnt work, so the insurance firm was happy to give me up to £500 to spend on a new laptop.

And here was my choice, having purred over a new laptop for ages I was finally able to make myself happy and go for the Compaq Presario CQ71.

With 4GB of RAM and 2Ghz Dual Core processors, it'll happily make light work of pretty much any program you can throw at it. a Huge 17.3 inch screen with superb colours and HDMI output and speakers that simply blow your socks off(for a laptop obv) Ive never been happier with a laptop, unless someone plans on lending me a grand for a super duper one.

The DVD±RW (±R DL) is exellent, very quiet and quick burning, and comes with a Lightscribe option, which I probably wouldnt use but its a nice touch. and the 7in1 Card Reader is exellent.

Picking up the internet is a doddle with a really strong wifi antenna, I can get internet from people down the street if I wanted to, but I dont as I have a great connection anyway.

The only drawback to this exellent machine, is the fact that it only comes with 2 USB ports, theres not even anything on the back, where you could have at least had 3 on there as well, it gives you a SATA port, so why not add another USB on the left side?

All in all though, Im really happy with my purchase, and if you're looking for something fast, efficient and really good looking to boot(crackingly shiny/glossy top case) then look no further.

Summary: Buy it though, you wont be dissapointed.
