These days alot of laptops are very thin and light weight to enable users to take them places with them. Unfortunately for the inspiron is is very bulky and heavy making it look quite old fashioned and not up to date.
Having said that the features on the laptop itself are very good and modern, it has high speed lots of memory and an excelent wide screen with a good image so its very good for watching shows or films etc.

The other problem however is the way the laptop is set out. The keyboard is very small and very tightly fit together. This causes a problem with typing other keys are frequently accidently hit making it difficult to be fluent.
The entire keyboard is clustered together , so i would not recommend it to be a work laptop or a student laptop where typing is essential.
The speaker system is also not too good , the speakers arent very big and even when the volume is up high its not as crisp and clear as other modern laptops.

For the price the features within the lap top are well suited, the only problem is the layout and the way it seems not very modern.
