Advantages: Reliable computer configuration

Disadvantages: System is freezing in the Sleep mode and after closing the lid; short battery lifespan

Maybe it is still among popular laptop computer models, but I have encountered some unexpected issues while using it and I want to tell you too because I know it will help at some point.
First I have to say I have been using it since one year and two months ago and the battery lifespan is closes to its end.
I have to keep the laptop plugged, otherwise it shuts down after a few minutes showing that only 9% of the battery is charged. It doesn't take more power than that.
I can keep only Windows Vista on it, Linux-based operating systems can't be installed. This is not a problem for me but you need to make some settings in the Power Options area so the interface won't freeze when you close the lid, or when it enters in Sleep mode. Practically I had to disable all the functions in the More Power Options sections.
In the rest everything is fine. It is a stable computer.
I don't like that it is kinda heavy.

Hi Nar2. I have to contradict you and say that it can be stable even if it doesn't support Linux-based operating system installations.
Some laptop computers are "locked" on Windows Vista, because Microsoft has exclusivity contracts with some manufacturers. That's why it didn't let me install Ubuntu.
I didn't get any software pre-installed. It was empty, I had to partition the storage myself.

It can't be stable if it has problems with the Linux based systems or the fact that it has a poor battery life though can it?

A bit more info wold be good here including the price you paid, general quality and any interesting pre-installed software you get with it.

Most laptops have a poor battery - when its used for online access - however they can last longer for general admin duties unlike playing music, video or online. If you update your review please message me.
