Dell are the best of the best when it comes to computing, when you buy a dell, you know you will be satisfied with it, and although they are sometimes a bit more pricey than others of the same spec, but of different brands, they are well worth the extra money because of there high build quality.

However with dell you can only buy online, this is a bit annoying because you cant see what your getting up close before you buy it, however, a good thing is that you can see what you want, then change the specs, and personalise the laptop to suit your needs.
Deliveries from dell usually take about a week to come, with some coming before and some coming after. And dell have really good customer service too.
This dell inspiron 1720 looks really good, it looks like any other dell inspiron, however there have been so much different products made of the inspiron that you know dell have got an amazingly designed laptop.

It features a Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 / 1.66 Ghz processor that runs the 1gb of installed ram inside, also this 1 gb of ram can be upgraded to a maximum of 4gb. This is great for those users who want something a little quicker, and I find that after a while your laptop becomes slower, then you may want to add an extra gb of ram I=to increase the speed and it really does work too.
It was great to see this laptop has a 160 gb hard drive, because most laptops with 1gb of ram only have 80 gb or 120 gb or hard drive.
160 gb of hard drive is more than enough for anyone really and even if you do need more storage, you could always buy an external hard drive and plug it into any 1 of the 4 hi-speed usb ports.

Forget about the 5 in 1 card readers, now you have a fantastic 8 in one card reader, built into this dell laptop. This is great for installing things like pictures off your digital camera and means you don't have to use wires and you can just plug your cards straight in and its so much easier.
This dell has a 15.4 inch tft screen, this is quite compact, but its good if you want something more portable and are really not bothered about watching movies and playing games on you laptop.

Another thing this laptop has that a lot of others don't, is a webcam built in.
On most acers the webcam at the top of the screen is big and just looks horrible, however on this dell the webcam is small and looks cool, and is nearly unnoticeable.
This is a 2 mega pixel camera, which is really good.
This laptop falls into the average weight, which is 3kg, this isn't too heavy although iv seen a lot lighter.

Basically this laptops well built, looks great, runs very fast, and wont ever let you down.
Id advise this to anyone who wants a decent laptop, which is really anyone!!
