Advantages: stylish, quick, wide screen.

Disadvantages: not brilliant for memory.

i got the Dell Inspiron 1520 free when i signed up to broadband internet with AOL, and i think its available with several other internet providers as well. When i first took it out of the box my first impression was, it looks huge, however i find it stylish, lightweight and the screen is fairly big (widescreen) so the good points instantly out weight the bad. As for the actual workings of the machine, I used Windows Vista Basic and find that it is very quick and responsive. I mainly use this laptop for internet browsing and typing word documents, with the occasional playing of games. Like i said before i got this laptop for free but if i had paid for it i would be just as pleased as for what i use it for its perfect. If you want and all singing all dancing top of the range laptop then you may need to look elsewhere as the memory etc isnt the best, however for general use you cant go wrong.
