Advantages: Looks the part and does what I want it to do.

I purchased the Dell Inspiron 1525 eight weeks ago as an overdue upgrade on my old, sluggish Toshiba Satelitte and haven't looked back. The speed and graphics (Vista Ultimate btw) are awesome and the security and search features are a marked improvement.

The keyboard layout is very handy with the buttons being large and well cushioned. Having the media control buttons directly below the screen is also conveinent.

The bulit in web cam and avatar software has given us some laughs and the quality of the video and pictures it can produce are very high quality.

The look is fully customiseable with different lid colours, mine being sleek black. I believe that there are 11 lid colours in all to choose from.

With my old Toshiba, I always found myself connecting the power cord after only an hour due to the battery life. The Inspiron 1525 by comparison lasts on average around 3 hours.
