I was a laptop virgin until 4 months ago when I bought my PINK Dell Inspiron 1525 Studio 15 laptop. I looked around for deals for ages because I was buying this laptop when money was a little tight, but a laptop was needed for uni work for I had to buy one.

I'm not very clued up when it comes to computers, but I wanted to review this laptop because I'm very impressed with it and wanted to share my thoughts with others thinking about buying this laptop.

** First Impressions on the laptop**

I was very impressed when I opened the box to my new laptop. The bubblegum pink colour is great, it really makes the laptop that bit better. The laptop is light, and its 15.4" screen is just right, not too big and not too small. I also noticed straight away it had 4 USB ports, which is great when a lot of things these days require a USB port, i.e. ipod charger etc.

** Processor**

The 1525 model has a few different processor options; these depend on what laptop you go for and how much you pay. I went for the cheapest one, Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor T3200. I checked with my brother before buying and he recommended this one because it's fast, and fitted my price range. I'm very happy with the processor, its quick, and for somebody who just uses the laptop for Microsoft office, internet browsing, and outlook email, its well worth the price. Obviously, if you're looking to play games on it, maybe going for one of the other processors they do may be an option. They also do Intel Cor 2 Duo Processor T5800 and Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor P8400.

** Memery Card**

I have so many pictures, word documents, files, music etc stored on my laptop and I've not used hard any of my memory yet. I keep adding more and more, yet the memory is not filling up. I love the STD memory card you get included with it. Obviously, again, if you pay more, you will get a bigger card, but I do however, think this memory card is sufficient for most users who don't play games, which I guess take up a lot of memory on a small laptop.

The memory - 2048MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024]

** The LCD screen**

Very impressive is the words I use to describe it. I opted for the 15.4" screen, however there is a 17" option if you wanted something a little bigger, but this costs a little bit more.

** Hard Drive**

Included in my choice i got the 160GB hard drive, you can upgrade and get a bigger hard drive if you use your laptop a bit more than i do.

** Microsoft Operating System**

Included with all the laptops you get Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 - English. This is the operating system included on every laptop. I have previously always used Windows XP, and I was excited to try out the new operating system. I have found windows vista great, and very easy to use. You an update your laptop to the premium and ultimate version, but I think the standard home basic is more than enough.

** Graphics Card**

My laptop came with 256MB ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3450 graphics card. If your again not one of playing games, then this should be more than enough.

** Battery**

The battery was the biggest worry for me as I use the laptop quite regularly during the day for university work. It can normally last 2-3 hours without dying on me once it's fully charged and I tend to charge the laptop up for 5 hours at night, and then take it to university with me during the day. However, if you're at home using the laptop, plug it in and use it whilst it's charging. In the right hand side of the screen at the bottom you will see the battery symbol, this will keep you updated with how you battery is doing, and how long you have left before it needs to be charged. You can also change it to power saver, this will make your battery last that little big longer. I tend to keep me on high performance, because it lights up the screen battery, I find with power saver, the screen is faint and is harder to see the screen in the dark.

** Other main features with this laptop**

* Wifi - can you choose from Dell Wireless 1397 802.11b/g Half Mini Card, Dell Wireless 1510 802.11n Half Mini-Card and intel wireless 5100 card.

* A wide range of bright colours, and different pattern designs.

* Integrated stereo speakers

* CD-ROM/DVD-ROM/Disk drive

** Dell Delivery and Customer Service**

When i placed my order it stated it would take 28 days because Dell build custom built laptops from scratch and are made according to your order. After about a week, I received an email from Dell saying my laptop had been shipped and would be with you in 2-5 working days. The delivery was very quick, the next day in fact and was delivered by Citi-link.

** Conclusion and WHY I bought this laptop**

If you're looking for a reliable, cheap laptop, which does everything you could want and much much more then this laptop is for you. After shopping around for discount codes to use on the Dell website, I managed to pick my laptop up for around £350, when it was meant to be over £400. I went for the bubblegum pink colour because I wanted my laptop to be different to any other normal black laptop. The pink really does add that something extra, and every time you look at it you think wow, stunning.

I have so far experienced no problems with my laptop; it works perfectly, and does everything I could want. The only unfortunate thing about it is it does not come with Microsoft Office, but then I don't think it's included as standard with any laptop. I had to buy office separately, which cost another £70.

This laptop is perfect for anybody who uses it for everyday work, internet browsing, and emails. If you want it for game playing, i would recommend buying maybe the next modal up, or the XPS laptop.

Summary: Great laptop, great price, get it in PINK
