Advantages: Variety of features, smooth running

Disadvantages: Battery life isn't brilliant

I barely know anything about computers, so this review will be for the more "simple minded" people out there like myself and will feature more on the "user friendly-ness" than the hardware. Firstly, it is very fast, it does not take long at all to turn on and off and load up programs unlike my desktop computer which seems to take an age to do anything. There is also plenty of space so you can install lots of programs and keep music or films on your computer. The screen is the perfect size for everything from essays/spreadsheet etc work to video editing to watching films. The speakers are fairly good for a laptop too, although they are a tiny bit tinny which is to be expected they can be turned up fairly loud and have pretty good quality and you can plug proper speakers into them as well. Windows Vista takes a bit of getting used to because I was used to using XP and so was not impressed with Vista at first but I like it now that I have been using it for a while. It is laid out better, you can have better features like a sidebar with the local weather, "post it notes" to write messages on, a little puzzle game to keep you occupied if you get bored. There are a few other games on there as well such as solitaire, Inkball, mahjong etc. If you are not a computer whizz this is a good laptop for you because it is very easy to use. It runs very smoothly when you have a few programs open. There are some basic programs like windows media player etc and windows messenger for if you want to listen to music or interact/communicate with friends. Overall I would definitely reccommend this laptop.
