Advantages: Excellent value for money, choice of colour, simple, quick & easy!

Disadvantages: Battery life not that great

I've only had my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop for about two months now but I love it. It's an excellent laptop for what you pay for it. After shopping around endlessly during the January sales nothing matched up. I'm also a bit of a girly-girl so loved the fact I could choose the colour, and naturally had to have pink! (Although this does cost £30 extra which I thought was quite a lot for a colour!). The Dell website is pretty easy to use, and you can pretty much 'tailor-make' your own laptop to exactly how you want it. Since having my Dell I have had no problems at all. It always runs quickly & never crashes (touch wood) and I can run a lot of windows at a time without a problem. Connecting to the internet was simple. It all came set up too which I didn't expect, I was prepared to set it up from scratch, so when it worked straight out the box I was pleased!
The battery life isn't as long as I'd have hoped, and it does just tend to switch off without warning if you forget to charge it, however it doesn't close your programmes down, so providing you plug it back in you can be back up and running within minutes. Overall a really good, excellent value for money laptop.

Summary: A handy little laptop!

Haha, yeah good plan - you can tell I'm a girly-girl, mention the colour but not the spec!!

Well, I got mine from the Dell Website - www.dell.co.uk

The spec is as follows:

Up to Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7250
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium
15.4" Wide Screen XGA+ display with TrueLife™
Starting at 5.9lbs (2.7kg)

It's now £449
(although I must say I got it for less in the Jan Sales!)

Its a really good laptop, i'd recommend it to anyone.

Glad it's working out for you - my girlfriend has one of these and she like it. A little more on the tech specs might be good!
