A very robust little machine (Dell Inspiron 1525)
Member Name: Christy_M
Advantages: Good performance, competitively priced. Disadvantages: Limited battery life, cover smudges I purchased this laptop in January and have been using daily since then. I have really put it through it's paces - downloading music, uploading photos and video, playing some games and surfing the net. The Intel Core Duo Processor has handled everything I have thrown at it, managing to run multiple applications with very little lag or loss of performance. The memory should be ample for most people - I have a fairly extensive music collection, lots of pictures and some home videos and have barely made a dent. Whilst the is not a gaming machine overall it performs pretty well with decent graphics, sounds and performance though it can't really handled demanding graphic hungry games. One downside is the battery life - I can rarely get more than one hour from it, although you can adjust the power settings to squeeze some extra from it if you really need to. My other gripe is that the cover shows every finger print and smudge so I am constantly cleaning it. However these are minor problems with what is a very robust and competitively priced machine. Summary: A solid purchase.
