I got this laptop last november (about 8 months ago) and have found it great! I have only had one other laptop which, compared to this one, was awful! The Dell Inspiron 1525 looks really good. Its silver keyboard is one of its best features, i think, as it is a really nice change from all the black ones around. It has touch-sensitive volume and media controls which are a really nice touch although the plastic on these is begining to peel off, which is slightly disappointing. However this is no major problem.

It is reasonably fast and very reliable. Although the hibernate function doesn't seem to work as it should do, and often refuses to turn back on after being in hibernate. (whether or not this is just a fault with mine or if it affects all of them im not sure!)

However, it is fast and has a very reasonable amount of memory even on the more basic models. Although it does come with Windows Vista, which i was slightly worried about, it works perfectly well and i would recommend it if your not going to be using it for more complicated reasons such as programming etc.

Summary: This is a great laptop for its price and would reccomend it for students etc.
