I've owned my Dell Inspiron 1525 for 3 years now. I think it looks and feels high quality, it has a black matt lid and a silver inside and keyboard. The keyboard is very comfortable and easy to use, the keys all still work very well (even after I spilt milk on them!). I found the touch-pad and buttons to be comfortable too, and the scroll lines on the touch-pad work well unlike other laptops I've used.

I was very impressed with Dell when I bought the laptop. It was just around the time all the screens started to go to glossy screens and I wanted a matt screen, I rang Dell and they fitted the model I wanted with a matt screen instead for me, which I thought was really good customer service.

The screen is bright and the brightness is also easy to change. The speakers are fairy good, not great but I'd say average for a laptop of that age. The webcam works well and I like the way you can alter what the different power buttons do and customise power-plans. It has 4 USB ports which is useful. The battery lasts well even after 3 years.

I am on Windows Vista and have found this laptop can get quite slow sometimes. It seems to be windows updates which slows it all down, before I turned it off it was updating each time I started the laptop up or shut it down. It seems to be better now though.

Overall, I don't have any complaints with this laptop apart from maybe the speed. I think the laptop has been very reliable and has coped well with everything I've needed to use it for. I would definitely buy Dell for my next laptop!
