Dell Inspiron 1525
Advantages: beautiful, fast, comfortable
Disadvantages: overheats, needs more RAM
I got the dell inspiron 1525 (midnight blue) about 4 years ago, and I loved it. I used it non stop for about 3 years before I got my HP. There was a bit of a hiccup at the beginning due to wi-fi however I just upgraded to Windows 7 and it was fine after that. However after about 2 years, it began to smoke randomly and then it popped and wouldn't turn back on. I got it fixed but I had to have it constantly plugged in and only one charger would work. Then when my room was being decorated, and I was fixing the bed that had been put up wrong, I dropped the frame on it and it smashed. I then felt it was time to get a new one rather than have it fixed.
WHAT I LOVE
Its beautiful, reliable, fast and has a large memory. Be careful not too clogg it up though as it usually slows down with time anyway. Its easy to use and once it gets going its a great little runner! Amazing screen (when its not smashed) and I love love love the keyboard! The control pad is great too. And I love the touch screen buttons and the way they light up when you turn it on.
WHAT I DON'T LOVE SO MUCH
As you know it did break on me a few times. Also it overheats all the time, but to be fair I think there was a problem with my internal fan. Also when it freezes there's usually no saving it so you have shut down the laptop. It could do with some more RAM.
ALL IN ALL I loved that laptop and it is great! Looking at my review I'm not really selling it, however I did use the laptop every day for hours on end so its no wonder it started packing in. I do like my new laptop, Hewlett, but sometimes I do miss my Dell!
Summary: I would recommend to a friend
