Reliability at low cost. (Dell Inspiron 1545)

Advantages: memory, processing speed, screen size/quality

Disadvantages: hard drive small

I have been using the dell inspiron for almost 12 months and have yet to have any problems, the screen is large enough for movie watching and the processing speed excelent, the laptop does struggle with overheating when used over a long period of time but for this to happen you have to be using a lot of computing power. I work in a scientific research lab and have yet to find a simulation or programme the inspiron cannot handle. The hard drive is easily big enough for general use and even a respectable music collection though if you do have a lot of large files such as movies it may be worth paying the premium and buying from dell with a larger hard drive, though an external harddrive is also a good solution and this should certainly not put anyone off the purchase. After a sucession of dissapointing laptops the inspiron is by far the best i have experienced in this price bracket.
