Advantages: Speed, storage
Disadvantages: Shape, Heat
Forced to get hold of this when the same model as my old laptop wasn't available to replace it when it broke down (it was a new machine itself).
Appearance first: This laptop is VERY glossy. Very glossy indeed. This is expected from the screen obviously, helps reduce glare and improve colours, but EVERY single surface is glossy, meaning that I'm constantly wiping fingerprints from it. Also means that dust gathers on every surface like nobodies business.
Size/shape: with it being a 15.6" screen, it is wider but narrower than most other machines. This makes it the PERFECT size for displaying movies in widescreen, no black bars at all! But for web browsing, you are left with reduced screen real estate, so more scrolling is involved. Also makes it more awkward to carry or find bags/accesories for, as it is one of the very few of this size that i've come across.
Speed: Without reproach. Nice amount of RAM and a very respectable processor means that running most programs can be done with no issue at all. However of late I've found the CPU running with no obvious reason as to what needs it, leading to a hot and noisy laptop
Storage: 250GB in a nice portable size? Nothing at all to complain about here!
Summary: Not ideal if you want to easily carry it places
