Good choice for any home user. (Dell Inspiron 1545)

Advantages: small, compact, cost effective, easy to use

Disadvantages: poor battery life on standard battery

I bought a Dell Inspiron for my girlfriend back in March and find myself using the laptop more than she does with the small size being handy for nights in front of the TV working away instead of locked away in some corner somewhere.

The laptop itself is very good value for money although if you do consider purchasing the laptop it is well worth paying the extra money and upgrading the battery to the 9 cell if you have the funds but I'd recommend no less than the 6 cell battery.

My girlfriends laptop has the 2 cell battery which at best will give you approximately 2 hours of life but rarely more than 1.5 hours before you are being warned about the battery dying and needing a recharge.

Everything else I am happy with on the laptop and would definitely purchase another laptop from Dell in the future even if their Dell Dock which floats at the top of the desktop does get on my nerves and is quite often immediately uninstalled.

The screen picture quality is clear and sharp along with the keys and mousepad being easy to use.

All in all this is a good little laptop which is a decent option for any home use who doesn't want to do anything too demanding other than maybe some simple work from home or just browing the net.

Summary: Good choice camera for anyone wanting to browse the internet or email from home.
