Dell Inspiron 1545
Advantages: different colours, easy to use
Disadvantages: not always reliable, battery life is poor
I've had my Dell Inspiron laptop for three years now. Its a good laptop, has a good processor and hard drive. I have put up with a few faults. The first that the battery life has always been very poor, for the two years of usage I have had to keep the laptop plugged into the mains. This is not great as the whole point of a laptop is for it to be able to move it around easy.
The second fault which I've had from day one is the screen, this only happens sometimes, when you first swith the laptop on or leave it for a while and come back to it, the screen will be all blurry. It looks like the screen has gone, but then I turn it off and back on and its fine.
I've also had some problems with the internet, being able to see pictures and links but i'm not sure if this is down to my internet speed.
Now for the good points.
Its got a webcam, wireless and sd card reader. 3 usb ports. It does come with vista, which at the time I got my laptop was the latest operating system. I found it to be very good and easy to use. The Dell laptops come in many different colours too, so you can get what colour suits you.
I chose to buy this laptop because I thought Dell were a reliable make, it has lasted me three years so far but it does have its faults...
Summary: Not to be relied on, but an ok laptop
