The dell inspiron looks great, performs great and best of all it's a dell.
Dell are no doubt the best when it comes to laptops and computers, the only bad thing I can think of about dell, is that you can only buy online. This can be a bit frustrating because when you want to get a laptop you want to see it before and try it before you buy. Also you don't want to wait a week or longer before it arrives so you can go on it.

However it being a dell, you get great customer support, and you know its built to last.
This inspiron 1720 looks fantastic. Basically it looks like any other dell inspiron, but a lot of design work went into these and it really shows and you most defiantly wouldn't be embarrassed to get this out on the plane or at work to show everyone in sight.
This features a Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 / 1.8 Ghz processor, which runs the huge 2 gb of ram, really fast. Most laptops seem to have 1 gb of ram so to see this with 2 gbs, you just know it's a step up in class.

Also this 2gb of ram can even be upgraded to a maximum of 4gbs, this can be easily bought through the dell website, however this is quite dear to do, so if you do need more than 2gb of ram, which most of you wont, then look for a laptop with more ram already built in.
This laptop also has a big 160 gb of hard drive, this is about the most ill ever need in my life, and I could try filling this with everything iv ever done in my life and it probably still wouldn't fill it all.

Forget the 5 in 1 card reader, this has an 8 in 1 card reader, iv never actually seen an 8 in 1 card reader on a laptop before so this is fantastic.
Its so good to see a dell inspiron have a 17 inch screen, most have had 15.4 inch screens, which is great if you want something more portable, but this dell inspiron 1720, has a great 17 inch screen which is so good for watching movies and playing games on.
Another great feature of this screen is that it has Ultra Sharp and True-Life technology built in. you can probably guess what these are, basically they just make the screen so much brighter and sharper, and altogether makes your computing experience like true-life.

This laptop is a little heavy than most laptops, weighing 3.6 kg, however this shows you just how stable and well built this laptop is.
Basically this laptops well built, looks great, runs very fast, and wont ever let you down.
Id advise this to anyone who wants a decent laptop, which is really anyone!!
So go buy this laptop.
