Love it, but on my 2nd hard drive (Dell Inspiron 1720)

Advantages: Quick, powerfull and looks great

Disadvantages: Hard drive died 1 month outside the warranty

I have had my 1720 for about 18 months and love it. I can't say its been entirely trouble free; just out of the 12 month warranty, the hard-drive died, a little annoying at 13 months after delivery! I did manage to source and fit a replacement but don't expect this to be trouble free, re-installing was a bit of a headache. The Dell website and telephony support was a little disappointing, I found searching forums far more usefull and informative. One good feature I discovered during the refit, was a spare HDD slot, could prove very usefull in the future but it was something I didn't know I had. Bear in mind that there are special Dell fittings on the hard drive, if you do need to replace or feel the need to upgrade, make sure you keep all the bits! The hard drive failure aside, I still love it and would recommend one. Its a cool tool and looks great, works well.

Summary: I would still recommend one, even with a hiccup
