Premium Review Dell Inspiron 1720: A very solid and reliable laptop (339 words)

I have just bought one of these to replace my rather dead, and always quite unreliable Acer laptop. I have been using my new Dell for around 3 weeks now and can only say its great! To start with the screen - it's a very crisp and stunning picture at all times, which I have noticed both when watching films and looking at pictures, but in ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Love it, but on my 2nd hard drive (160 words)

I have had my 1720 for about 18 months and love it. I can't say its been entirely trouble free; just out of the 12 month warranty, the hard-drive died, a little annoying at 13 months after delivery! I did manage to source and fit a replacement but don't expect this to be trouble free, re-installing was a bit of a headache. The Dell website and ...  Read the complete review

I have owned this laptop just over 18 months now, and would not be without it. However it can be temperamental sometimes, it has once totally crashed and i had to re-load my operating system and programs to get it to work again, as well as this the web cam will only work about 20% of the time. As well as this the disk drive is excessively noisy, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Amazing laptop. (173 words)

This laptop is one of the best I have seen. I have now owned it for 2 years and cannot fault any of it. I use the laptop for both work and gaming so I got extra battery added to it. Which does stick out the back. However with this the laptop lasts many hours even when performance is high. The laptop does not seem to break ...  Read the complete review

I purchased this laptop as part of a promotion at PC World, they were selling the laptop at £399. I work for an IT department, and know how good Dell machines are, so decided to treat myself to a new laptop! The laptop has a large screen, with good graphics. This is great for watching DVD's on! I love the fact that it has a separate number pad ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Fantastic machine (220 words)

I bought my laptop around a year ago and I have to say that it is absolutely fantastic. The screen is big and bright, making everything easy to see, including text and video. Battery life is pretty good at around 2 and a half to 3 hours on one charge. However it is relatively heavy for a laptop - although this doesn't affect ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dell Inspiron 1720: Beware the Samsung HDD (213 words)

I'll have to be careful here. I'm sure my laptop knows what I'm up to. As soon as I'm finished typing this it'll crash. Never the less, here we go. Overall, this is a nice bit of kit. Looks good, fast, nice and heavy and doesn't feel too plasticy. I've had it now for just over a year and up until very recently it's behaved like a schoolboy on the ...  Read the complete review

I bought my own Dell inspiron 1720 7-8 months ago and I must say, I LOVE it. My brother also has a Dell Inspiron 9400. Our whole family loves Dell. It has an elegant and fast look, despite the large housing. It is very strong, since it is made from high quality aluminium. I must admit that Dell is probably one of the best companies in making ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dell Inspiron 1720: dell 1720 (485 words)

The dell inspiron looks great, performs great and best of all it's a dell. Dell are no doubt the best when it comes to laptops and computers, the only bad thing I can think of about dell, is that you can only buy online. This can be a bit frustrating because when you want to get a laptop you want to see it before and try it before you buy. ...  Read the complete review

This laptop is a extremely good laptop, I use it everyday. I get up to 8 hours of battery length without being plugged in and it is fast, no matter how many programs I have running it will load within a second or two. The graphics are especially impressive, they are great for watching movies or slide shows. I watch movies on it all the time. This ...  Read the complete review
