Dell Inspiron 1721

I received this as a christmas present last year, and i must say, it has been one of the most useful things i have ever owned. It's easy to transport around, although not the lightest laptop i have come across, and i can use it wherever i go. The screen is large and i don't think you would want it any larger, in fact it's the perfect size for a laptop. The lid is black, along with the base, and i find that it's easily marked by fingers however the silver keyboard and around the screen was great and the keys were a good size and clear to see, as were all the buttons. The great thing about dell laptops is that they all look so good. This ones no exception, and as dell are the leading company in desktops and laptops then you get the great laptop with the piece of mind that its going to be great and that if breaks you'll have great customer service too. The only bad thing about dell is that you cant really buy them in shops, sure you can pick some up at pc world but if you want to get the best deals then you have to go online. I bought this laptop last August, so exactly one year ago. Big mistake. My husband loves Dells and will not buy any other make. I had problems with it from day one. The wlan driver stops working every few hours. The display driver stops working and the screen goes blank. Dell take it away every few weeks and promise they have fixed it but the minute it is back, I am back to square one. Well this was my first laptop i purchased ever. I decided on this as at the time of purchase it was on offer with around 60-100 quid off. The best thing really with any Dell laptop, is that you can customize the laptop to whichever you feel suits your needs. I personally chose a 320GB HD, and 2GB RAM. Now even with both of these this laptop was still a steal compared to other high-street retail prices for laptops made by sony/samsung/compaq and many other companies. i love this lap top i have had if for about 18 months and it is the best yeah bit heavyer than the rest but with a huge 17" screen its going to be has everything on it that u could possably need and more first comp i have had with vista and i have to say it is fab much nicer to look at ans very easy to use make the screan look so much nicer they come in a range of colours and i have the red one nie sexy colour very girly the media center is fab aswell come with tv pics mucic and meny more sections stores so much that u do not need to find shelfs for all these cd'd and dvd'd i have over 200 cd's and 100 dvd's stored in the loap top and still plenty room for more ...  Read the complete review
