Intro: Over the past 3 years I have owned 3 laptops, this being the third, and this is the first one I am truely satisfied with. (I use my laptop at work constantly and previous to completly died within a year) Good Points: One of the first things one notices about this laptop is the high quality big screen. This is 14.1 Inches which is the visible area of a 15Inch monitor and can go up to a resolution of 1400 x 1024 which is impressive for even a desktop monitor. this is the Dell Inspiron 4000 series, and what a machine this is. my model has the pIII processor and i would say this is the minimum you need for this sort of system, anything below that would make your apps run too slow. one big thing on laptops is that you should get a good manufacturer, as more will go wrong with them over time than with a conventional desktop system. this comes with all the windows apps as standard, preloaded and on cd rom. i opted for the dvd rom which is great and will play multi region movies. just load in a foreign movie and it automatically installs the driver from the dvd rom. one drawback, if you use the infared link, ...  Read the complete review
