Advantages: Rugged, Powerfull, Great Make
Disadvantages: Not pretty, not light
I have recently been given this laptop for work and its a joy to use.
I have used samsung, sony, acer and Dell laptops previously and have found Dell to be the most reliable by far.
The latitude E6400 is a sturdy model, not light and dainty but rugged and up for most jobs. I take mine out in the field as it have the added ATG protection on the sockets and port covers and this works a treat.
The laptop can handle all the programs i can throw at it and performs quickly and smoothly. The wifi on Dell laptops is great and i often steal the connection of latops next to me if the signal is weak in that area.
Key board layout is good and the option of tracker pad and traker ball is a good one. There are plenty of USB ports which is a must these days as everything is pluugeds in by usb.
Battery life seems to be good and i have got over 9 hours out of it and i am the second person to have it in the company so it must be a few years old.
Summary: good for working in the field and at a desk
