Expect to pay a bit more being Dell. They are good hardware wise but a bit to expensive for the average user. Thankfully my boss bought mine. 8 out of 10 for Dell. ...more

Premium Review Dell Latitude LS: Latitude - Solid Machinery Is Here (1252 words)

The Dell Latitude C600 laptop computer is, in my view, probably one of the best around. Apart from a few features which aren't quite to my liking, they couldn't have made a much better laptop. The build quality on the outside is amazing, and the overall quality of the package is superb. So what is it? Well, it’s a laptop computer, that weight around2.6 kilograms, according to my weighing scales. It doesn't feel light, but then no laptop ever does, but it does feel solid. In a laptop this is most definitely a good thing. After all, its meant to be portable, so it is likely that it will have to take a fair amount of abuse, as it gets thrown in ...

When travelling abroad as I like to do, I have to take my laptop with me. Sure I have all I need on our network at work and I can access it from the offices in Detroit and Cologne (guess what business our Web design company works for?) but It is so much easier to carry your files and work station around with you when away from the main office. Working for my company means you have to use the office standard when ordering PC's and laptops. This means ordering a Dell. I love Dell. Viglen and Dell are my 2 favourite makes and when it comes to Laptops, I will take my old Latitude any day of the week. I say old because they are an old range. You may pick ...

The Dell Latitude is built for small business, who demands reasonable speed and reliability. The machine comes with a 3 years warranty, which is a good idea for a microcomputer. Unlike the Compaq or Sharps with only one year of service, you will not need to worry about it when it breaks down. Let’s look at the specification of the machine: Pentium III 400 MHz processor, a bit slow for a new machine, but it will do the job for a businessman; a satisfying 64MB of RAM, now a standard; A 12.1 inch TFT monitor, a reasonable size bit a bit small nowadays; a undersized 4.8 gigabits hard-disk. I guess this is enough for a odd Word document or Power Point ...
