Advantages: Small, Compact, Lightweight, Powerful, HDMI, Last Harddrive. Keyboard
Disadvantages: Loud optical drive
Now this is a laptop.
I got this to replace my existing 17" Toshiba which I have for a few years.
Even though the screen is only 13.3" it isn't by any means small. The screen is perfect, mine has the 300nit display. Only in the sun can it be a pain with the glare as the screen acts as a mirror!
Anyway,
It is well built, the keyboard is fantastic, well sized and responsive. The webcam/mic work well with programs like MSN/Skype. They automatically pick up that they are installed and work flawlessly.
Built in HDMI port means that I have been able to plug it straight into my TV/Projector to watch movies, and view photos.
The graphics card has been able to run most of the games I have played at a medium setting, it runs older games, say a couple of years old without any problems.
Mine has a 9 cell battery and it has lasted up to almost 7 hours which I couldn't believe when I first got it. Now it lasts around 5 and a half.
The design is superb, I haven't seen a better looking laptop and it really is wortht he money.
I think the only thing that could put people off is the built in optical drive, it is pretty loud on boot up and when ejecting discs.
There is also a built in control that you can use to control the laptop if you are using it as a media centre.
5 stars. I'd recommend this to others for sure.
Summary: Worth considering if you are after a 13.3". Does everything well.
