Style and substance laptop (Dell Inspiron XPS M1530)

Advantages: very lightwieght, superquick, good looking with useful features

Disadvantages: can be noisy, so not for libraries.

This laptop is superfast, even with Windows Vista. It's good looking, it's slim and could pass for a large book in a bag. The keyboard is easy to use, and the media buttons (play, stop, forward, back, eject etc) make playing music or dvds trouble free. The wi fi catcher is also really useful.
The only minus points I can think of with this laptop is that:
a. the fans are noisy, so if you are the kind of person who reveres silence it is perhaps not the laptop for you. If you have music playing or the tv on though you will likely not notice it.
b. the dvd drive is a slot loading drive, which means that firstly it will not play 'eco-dvds' (flexible dvds that are environmentally friendly apparently), and secondly inserting or ejecting a dvd makes a significant noise, so not necessarily suitable for taking to lectures for example.
Other than these two minor quibbles, which I find acceptable, it's a beauty of a laptop.

Summary: Has it all if you don't revere silence.
