Dell Inspiron 1525 ... bought this Laptop for the purpose of doing my course work. I thought to myself, yeah its cheap but it looks good and it will obviously do fine for my College work ! Well after about an hour of playing around with it the only word is ... Wow ! ! The laptop is not only cheap it is by far the best computer system I have bought ! It looks wow, it works, wow, and the features ... WOW !!! The webcam and the software that comes on the laptop for the webcam is really good ! Dell Latitude E6400 ... change this so I will take it into the IT techs at work and see. However in the middle of the key board there is a ball that you can use to move the mouse which is much easier but maybe a little sensitive so not good for the heavy handed! The processer and RAM seems to be working a treat, seems very fast and is great for what I need to do. I cannot comment on the intstallation of the laptop as the IT people at work did it! WiFi is great and has a switch on the right hand side so make sure you turn it on! It confused me for a while!! Includes 4 USB ports which is handy and one eSata port! Dell Vostro 1500 ... ve had my Dell Vostro 1500 for about 2 years now- I bought it through work and got a great price of £380 on it. The price included a lot of free extras, which at the time made it an amazing buy: it has bluetooth, dvd/rw, 2GB ram, a dual-core 1.5GHZ intel processor, and a GF 8400MS graphics card, making it more than enough laptop for my needs, and all loaded onto a copy of Windows Vista Business. I predominantly use my laptop for the internet and word processing (being a student) but I also use it for guitar recording with a Line6 toneport and it handles it with aplomb.
