I got this laptop from a cousin who gave it to me as they upgraded. But this is a great little laptop suitable for light basic computing tasks such as browsing the internet and reading/sending e-mail. Mine is the black model and has a VIA C3 cpu, 256mb ran and a 40gb hdd, loaded with Windows XP professional. I was quite suprised because I thought it may be a struggle to get the drivers as it was a brand I had never heard of before, but amazingly, the site still featured this old laptop in their archives! So it was not much of a challenge after all, plus, their drivers work for Windows 98SE, ME, 2K and XP, so you don't need to search the net for other drivers. Even though a good build, the fan is a real pain as it is on contantly and very loud. You couldn't go in the library to do some work on it as the fan will be so noisy, it will disturb all the other people! But at least it keeps the machine cool. Furthermore, built in wireless would be good as most laptops around the same era that this was made featured it, so I have to use an external USB dongle, but thats not too bad for the cheap price tag and no DVD-rw, but I don't really burn DVDs much anyway, but its good to have one just in case you do. Overall a good laptop and great for people who love to collect old computers and laptops like me and for those who just want a good, basic reliable laptop, who don't mind too much noise! Would recommed.
