... rates) trying to fix the problem with tech support. Replaced the Bios after two false starts where the incorrect software and proceedure was supplied. They finally took the machine away two weeks ago, they say somebody might look at it soon, after the Bank Holiday and I will of course have to go on their waiting list, (apparently, some people have been waiting even longer than I!). Purchased July 2002. Price, features and perfomance appeared to be excellent value for money. I have experienced a number of hardware problems the most annoying of which is the Touchpad. Without warning, the cursor jumps all over the screen. Opens, closes and resizes windows at random. Shutdown is th only option. I have spent probably in excess of 8 hours on helplines (at premium rates) trying to fix the problem with tech support.
