Being a young, first time buyer of my own laptop with little money I was faced with the question "Should I go mac or PC?" this is a question which plagues a lot of people, do I go for the more expensive mac or make do with a PC? As a converted mac user I shall now continue to explain why the extra money spent on a mac goes a long way. Lets look at the quality, I ve had this mac for about 9 months now and I am yet to find a problem with it, it s solidly made with an fantastic battery life and it looks damn well awesome! 	Toshiba Tecra 9000 ... have been using the Toshiba Tecra 9000 for about two years now. The laptop is very good. The inbuilt wireless and Bluetooth are very useful. The built in SD Card reader is also useful, but only runs at USB 1.1 speed so can be a little slow when transferring lots of files. The screen is bright and clear and copes well with playing DVDs. It is a fast enough PC to watch the BBC iPlayer in full screen. The built in mouse nipple can be a little hard to get used to, so I would recommend a small cordless USB mouse. You can get these for as little as two or three quid from a site like ebuyer. The laptop only has USB 1.1, so it may be wise getting a USB2 PC Card. The bat... 	Asus Eee PC 4G ... ve got one of these that is the Linux version, but I wasn t impressed at all, but it s great because it s small. Asus have really pushed the boat out to try and make the operating system really fast, yet look like Windows XP but you can t add you re own software easily and they don t seem to add updates very often at all. Although if all you do is basic computer activities, then this is great for you as it s small and mighty. Some users have installed custom systems using usb keys and flash cards but this is a very advanced topic but also people are creating software to work fine on the Eeepc because of the small screen size.
