This laptop has been my best friends for many a year now - 5 to be exact. Which is 35 in dog years and about 900 in laptop years. It is sturdy, plucky and still quite stylish. Mine has not had an easy life - it has had many an essay written on it, been my TV as well as spend long hours on Facebook and yet it soldiers on valiently - you would not know its age had I not already told you.
I cannot reccommend this laptop enough - the keyboard is well laid out - no numpad but that's not a major problem; impressive resolution and viewing quality.
The battery life is reasonable - a couple of hours usually.
The only small niggles are that there is no button for the wireless - instead it's a function key combination which resets everytime you shut down and so you may find yourself wondering why you cannot get your internet to work the first few times you use it.
A similarly small niggle is that it does get quite hot - something I would imagine linked to its old age.
Lionel and I have had a happy life together and I cannot see it ending any time soon.
I bought this laptop because it was the most reasonably priced laptop on market at the time. WHen i bought it I knew it wasnt the best, the fastest, the most up to date but it has not let me down. It is quick, reliable and has done everything that i wanted from a laptop and has saved me probably a few hundred pound in the meantime.
The graphics are good and the speed that prorams load is impressive, the screen resolution is also good and vidoes etc can be seen clearly and without distortion. All in all its been a good cheap laptop that i have been able to use for both business and personal use.
I would recommend this to anyone who is on a tight budget, its never going to set the world alight but has done everything that i have wanted it to do. A good all round laptop.
I have had this laptop for just over a year and haven't really had any problems with it.
It is not the fastest of computers though to be fa and has limited memory but for what i use it as, just a general home computer for college work it has been fine.
After a year on having the computer the only real issue ihas was not with the computer but with the charger which came with it. when plugged into the mains t started to become home and then eventually it blew up. Unfortunately this happened just after my year waranty had expired and therefore i had to purchase a new one for n extra charge.
the battery life is a bit poor, it on average lasts an hour even if you aren;t doing anything which you would think takes up alot of memory
it ha squite an easy to use interface and it is fairly easy to inwstall any new programmes.
when i bought the laptop it didnt come wtih any real software preloaded on to it so i had to buy a microsof office package as well as the intiqal cost for the laptop
