It could handle new installations with ease, and the 2gb RAM comes in so handy when using multiple programs, and it makes everything run so much faster and smoother. My Amilo D is now in its 3rd year at home, and its really started to become a liability. Just over a year after the purchase, the video card went on the blink. One can barely see the screen when running on battery, so its lived most of its life "off the mains" (a PC can do that).
