Fujistu Siemens is not a well known brand in the world but it has some good range of products in notebook series that can really compete with some notebook giants. Computer industry always going to upgraded with latest technology and research so it is very difficult to survive with any one model for long. But now every manufacturer adopting latest technology day by day and giving a better featured product to its customers.
Now the Fujitsu Siemens has a good featured notebook in Amilo series and I will discuss here its features and performance with advantages and disadvantages also.

Processing speed
First of all have a look on its processor and it has Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 processor with 2 GHz of clock speed. Front size bus speed is about 800 MHz and L2 cache is 2MB. It is a multicore processor with 800 MHz bus speed and sufficient enough to run latest applications. But its L2 cache size is slightly less than compares to its rivals it has only 2 MB. 3MB cache is considered good but there is no problem with 2MB also. It can provide good speed with 2 MB also.

Chipset
It has good and latest version of chipset with Mobile Intel GM965 Express, it is good for having Aero experience in Windows Vista. So there is no problem with its chipset also it is good and better for latest applications.

Memory point
If we consider its internal memory size in terms of RAM than it has average memory size with 2GB DDR2 SDRAM - 667 MHz of speed. Here the point is that it has 667 MHz of speed and the processor has 800 MHz of speed so that it will be better to provide good speed memory also with 800 MHz better speed memory. Memory size is also something less and it should be about 4 GB for this kind of notebooks. We might consider graphics memory also with its RAM so that we can take good decision with its memory size and I will discuss further about its graphics memory, but that is also something having traditional capacity.

Storage capacity
Internal storage capacity is good enough with 250 GB - Serial ATA-150 hard disk drive and almost all notebooks have this type of storage capacity. but the point is that some manufacturers also providing SSD drive which is excellent in terms of DATA security but that is very costly and available in average low storage capacity but if you think that your DATA is more important with compare to cost than it will be better to have SSD drive in your notebook. There is no provision in this notebook to upgrade this hard disk in SSD drive.

Graphics card.
Notebook contain traditional Intel GMA X3100 PCI Express graphics card with about 384 MB of total shared memory. It is not a good graphics card for notebook but the better solution can be provided with better dedicated memory card. Here this notebook completely failed to compete with latest graphics enabled notebooks.

Battery back-up
There is no new about battery back-up it has traditional 6-cell Lithium Ion battery and there is about 2 hours of back-up time. Every manufacture calming that 6 cell battery can provide 305 hous of talktime but practically it is remains about 2 hours.

All other features are common with compare to other notebooks like Optical drive, networking, audio, and display size is in popular series that is about 15'4" wide screen. Operating system is also same as Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium.

Over all it is average notebook and price is slightly high. This notebook doesn't have good graphics memory and battery back-up. Average notebook at all.
