I honestly cant pick any faults with this laptop at all, well except from the extremely high price tag, but if you've got the money to spend then what a machine to spend it on.
This Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S6410 is a quite new type of laptop from the fujitsu siemens brand. These new laptops are called lifebook, and are especially designed for portability and super quick running speeds.
The design of this laptop is fantastic, its combination of three main colours makes it look a lot more modern than some of its predecessors and gives it a cool edge over its rivals.
A business mans laptop that looks cool instead of boring seemed to be something acers travel mates just weren't designed to be and I don't think acer could ever figure out how to get this balance, fujitsu however have, and it really shows.
The plastic section around the screen is black, and is also strong and sturdy, the body of the laptop is silver with a nice grey keypad that stands out from the laptop and the bottom of the laptop and sides of the laptop are also black, it really is a stunning looking laptop.
This one in particular is quite quick saying it only has 1gb or ram, it's a shame it doesn't have that extra 1gb making it 2gbs as that would really make it a lot faster. The great thing about this laptop is that over time, if your laptop becomes slower, which they all seem to do. You can always upgrade the ram to a massive 4 gb's. this is an option that a lot of people wont ever do, however its there if you want it and it really would increase your laptops performance dramatically.
Taking into account all its very high price tag, you would expect it to have about 160 gb of hard drive, or at least 120. But this laptop however only has 80 gb of storage space built in. I don't know whether to class this as a downside as I know everyone wants the most they can get, but honestly do you really need more than 80 gb of hard drive? Well I certainly know I don't and I guess most people don't either, so this 80 gb should really be enough and not a downside to the laptop at all.
The reason why this one is so portable it down to mainly its incredible weight. Moe laptops weigh over 3 kg, this one however only weighs 1.8 kg. this is a really light weight for any laptop, but the main reason why its this light is because they have compromised a bit on the screen size. Its only 13.3 inches.
Also making it so portable Is its incredible 7 hours of battery life, which is certainly the most in a laptop iv ever tested before and I'm not sure there's a longer lasting laptop out there or not. This truly does have the capability to be used on the go, and pretty much all day if need be.
Also in terms of extra features it has a memory card reader as well as an 1.3 mega pixel camera tucked away nicely in the top of it.
There is a snag though, and a pricey one, the cheapest iv seen this one for is just over £800. Which is about double the price tag for this laptops amount of ram and hard drive. However its portability is fantastic and I'm not sure you can put price on that. So it really depends if you can afford to pay extra for a laptop that id say is one of the best for portability around.
