Advantages: Fast and overclockable with loads of connectivity

Disadvantages: Speakers interfere with hard disk

This laptop offers really good value for money and is a great office workhorse. The Turion processor is roughly equivalent to a similarly clocked Pentium M and gives enough performance for the cast majority of people. Adding an extra GB of RAM will speed it up enormously however, especially if you use several applications at once.

The fingerprint reader works flawlessly and the only connectivity missing is an infrared port. It has USB2.0, firewire, pcmcia, bluetooth, wifi, 1000Mbit ethernet and a 5in1 caard reader.

There is one very significant downside to this laptop however. While the speakers do sound fairly good, you need to beware if you use them. It seems like there may be a design flaw with this model in that the right hand speaker is right next to the Hard Disk and when playing music the vibration causes seek errors on the disk which cause the transfer rate to slow to a mere 1MB/sec from the normal 35MB/sec. This makes it impossible to use the laptop while playing music

It is likely that this vibration will shorten the life of the disk drive though mine is still going fine after 7 months.

Overall a good feature packed laptop but you cant use the speakers
