As I don`t know a lot about computer stuff I can only tell you about my personal experiences with the HP Compaq nx6125. Beforehead a summary of the most important technical information to help you familiarize with this notebook

I bought my HP Compaq nx6125 in spring 2006 and I didn`t regret it yet as I didn`t have any difficulties with this notebook although I`m using it on a daily base. Also the battery run time is the same like it was two years ago what I think isn`t a matter of course. I bouht this laptop for about 1000 bucks but I`m sure you`ll get it cheaper now.

Those of you who play computer games a lot may think that the hard drive and the memory could be bigger. True, but as we all know these features can be easily exchanged! For me who uses computers/notebooks mainly for uni a 60 GB hard drive is alright. I`m satisfied with a 1 GB memory, as well. It saves my pics, videos and text data.

Another thing I really appriciate is having the possibilty of creating my own music CD's, burning DVD's, and replicating any data files from my hard drive to a disc with just a few simple clicks.

The Compaq nx6125 weighs 2,7 kg what I think is too heavy for a "portable computer". Sometimes it gets really tiering to carry my work around all day long...to uni...and back home...to uni and... .

One more thing that really botheres me is the screen. The smallest sun ray is annoying as you can`t see the things on the display clearly. Probably a max. resolution of 1400 x 1050 isn`t good enough therefore but this is again stuff I don`t know a lot about.

Apart from these last two facts there is no con I can tell you about. HP is known as a quality producing company. So I can only hope that my lovely little Compaq nx6125 will dure some more years. ;)
