When I bought it I wasn t blown away by the looks until I got it back to our hotel and opened it up away from blaring lights.....the screen is glossy (not to everyones taste but I love it) and the keyboard has a metallic finish but feels really solid. HP Pavilion Dv7-1050ea Entertainment ... laptop has more style that most others and feels of quality throughout. The keyboard is a full sized one including a numbner pad and finished is a silverly matt texture. Having had many laptops I have to say that this one is my favourite to date. There is no real flex throughout the keyboard. and keys feel of quality when you strike them. The keys also don t produce much noice when typing which I have found on other laptops. Above the keyboard are illuminated touch buttons for media and WLAN control. These surprisingly work very well and are not just a gimick. HP G6000 ... the years I have used HP/Compaq desktop PCs (mainly through work) and have not really had any problems with them, so when I was looking to get a laptop for personal use I decided to get a HP G6000 from Staples about just over a year ago on my experiences with using their desktop systems. What a mistake that was! Since owning the laptop I have had several problems with it. The case plastics have broken in several places (I don t chuck it around or anything like that, just appears to have been from normal use!), the fan used to work at warp speed and the bottom of the laptop and touchpad was so hot it was a little more than "uncomfortable" to use (I had to... HP Pavillion Dv2000 is one of the best laptops i have invested in and its a good choice the Hp pavillion is an entertainment centre and a multi media centre with its 2GB of ram the Laptop is very fast and to be frowned at. it has a remote control for media and this is great for watching dvds with Windows Xp as the operating system its good to see they are still putting the operating system on new laptops as i thought no one have Windows xp anymore which would of been a shame with the 1.3mega pixel webcam this is brilliant for live messenger and taking pictures and with the built in mic you can have a video chat with family and friends that live abroad the case for the...
