This HP Compaq laptop combines power with a good design and other great features to give you this fantastic business laptop.
The laptop is Compaq's Business Notebook 6715b, which you can probably guess from the name is designed and specifically made for business people, and so therefore comes with vindows vista business already in installed on it, this offers some extra features and programs compared to the other vistas and comes with Intervideo WinDVD, HP Quick Launch Button Software, HP ProtectTools Security Manager, HP Wireless Assistant, Synaptics Touchpad Driver, HP Backup and Recovery Manager, Roxio Easy Media Creator 9, HP OpenView Radia Management Agent, HP QuickLook.


The design is really good too. It is all in one colour, which is usually something that puts me off laptops, however this all black laptop has a cool square like shape to it and I think it makes the laptop look really modern. The edge around the screen isn't huge and is quite thin making this laptop look better and also reducing its size.

Now this really is a fast running laptop, and really it needs to be if you need to do a lot of work on a laptop. This has 2 gb of ram installed on it which makes all those demanding programs and software run like a dream.
And if the 2 gb isn't enough for you (although I cant see this amount ever not being big enough for you), then you can easily upgrade your ram to 4gb. This will just make everything even faster than it already is, so if you so really need your laptop to be a bit faster then you have got this option at a later date. This is really good because what tends to happen is that as your laptop gets older, and your add more programs and files, it eventually gets slower and slower, this is just something that happens, so having this extra 2gb of ram available to be installed into the laptop means that if it does start to run slower than you want it to, then you can easily have extra ram installed. A bad thing about this option though, is that it can be costly to do, especially if you cant do it your self and you might have to pay a computer technician to do the work for you.
Also a bit of a glitch is that it could, and I do say could, void the warranty, now I am unsure about the warranty of this specific laptop however it usually goes, if you alter any setting of the laptop by unscrewing things inside of it, then usually the warranty goes, as if it no longer works it could be your fault. So this is something to think about and look into before you start altering things inside the laptop.


Now the hard drive is above average too, as it has a fantastic 160 gb's for you to store all that data onto. Now I know that ill never need more than 160 gb and iv never even really needed more than 100gb's before, so I doubt that anyone will really need more storage space than this.

Its screen is average size too, it's a 15.4 inch TFT screen which is about the average size. However most business laptops have smaller screens that this so that they are more portable because they would be smaller, and also they would be lighter and have more battery life. This laptop actually weighs 2.7 kg though, which isn't really heavy, but is a lot heavier than most business laptops are. that's why this laptops probably best to be used as a replacement desktop and is just as fast as one too.


This laptop also has a built in memory card reader, this is great and can read any of SD Memory Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, MultiMediaCard, xD-Picture Card. This saves time and money if you were to buy one, as well as saving space and an usb port too in using one.

Altogether this is a great laptop, its designed for business men and that's who it suits best. Its extremely quick, it looks good and its got all that space to save things on as well. There are so much things that's so good about this laptop and not much wrong with it. Apart from its lack of portability, however for a price tag of under £600 for a laptop this good, I think this defiantly makes up for it as you'd be paying well over £1000 for a laptop like this with great portability as well.
