I got this laptop when signing up to a T Mobile contract back in May this year (2009) and after having a few laptops over a couple of years I knew what I wanted from mine! (The basics 15.4-Inch Laptop 2.0 GHz AMD Sempron SI-40 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 120 GB Hard Drive, Vista Basic)
It is a large laptop-well comapred to my old tiny acer one anyway! It has a large screen which took me a while to adjust too but great for watching films on. It came with 3 recovery disks (app and driver recovery, a vista one and also a software one)
The laptop is very heavy to me and I do struggle to carry it about or balance on my knee so it mainly stays in one place-to me not what a laptop is for.
The installing process had to be done before it could be trned on nothing was pre loaded and this did take about 30mins a very long process. Once it was installed it again did take a while for it to load and trn on and fuction all in all about 45mins-an hour.
It came with office on including word, publisher but this was just a trial. Has the usual windows media player, games, notepad, calculator etc on. It doesnt come with alot of memory loaded and does state on the laptop for best use should be used with more memory then whats already on it sdo we did have to purchase some more.
The battery life is ok lasts about 1hour 30mins but thats on high performance doing more then one thing at once on it. Vista is good but its ahrd to adjust after using xp for a long time lol

We have had a few problems with the laptop mainly with it shutting down when not asked too and taking about 20 minutes to turn back on and alot of errors coming up(no viruses though) but it is a good laptop and for free I cant moan.
