Great laptop, I've been using it for 5 years. It has never let me down, for whole period. Battery still lasts for 2 hours. Although it is a bit heavier, it still can compete whit nowadays laptops, and I carry it wherever I go, work, faculty, or nearest cafe with wi-fi. During this couple of years, I formatted disc C: because I was too young and downloaded things that I shouldn't download, but after formatting it worked same as new. Also I upgraded RAM to 2gb Kingston, and works even better than it did when I got it. I had just small problem with original adapter which after 4 years started to supply power with breaks, but in hp service they repaired it for couple of bucks so, I can not consider this as real problem. I also dropped it few times, but without any consequences, hardware is real solid and think that user won't have any problems regarding this issue. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone who maybe have limited budget for new laptop and doesn't have too demanding needs.
I have used this laptop for work and was quite impressed. This laptop is not the most stylish but as it is a laptop designed for business there are complaints for this. The laptop was comfortable to type on unlike some other laptops I have used in the past that have put quite a bit of pressure on the wrists. The touch pad was very smooth to use and always recognised what I wanted it to do, however the two touch pad buttons did feel a little cheap and could have been slightly better designed. The battery life of the laptop was reasonable - at best you would get a couple of hours use - I ended up getting an additional battery to enable me to complete half a days worth of work with plugging in the laptop. The screen was a reasonable size and was quite bright for when you have sun glaring on the screen. The laptop has a built in Wireless adaptor which is useful as additional equipment is not needed.
