My HP Compaq Business Notebook NX9105 is affectionately known as the brick as it is so heavy compared with the laptops that you can get these days and the even smaller net books. However it is my work laptop and is arther old however the reason it is used by my business is that it is a solid well built laptop that stands up to the rigour of daily permament use and because it has network capabilities the speed is not reall affected by the large amount of data and applications it needs to run.
On the downside I do find that the inbuilt mousepad is overly sensitive even on the lowest setting and this causes a problem when in word especially however this problem is easily overcome as it can be deactivated and an external mouse used vai one of the three available usb ports that it has, I also like the fact that all three ports are side mounted and well positioned rather than being hidden away on the back.
The keyboard is very accessible and the keys are long lasting, after a few years of use there are no real signs of wear on the keyboard and the keys are very responsive.
The battery life is no longer very good but taht is because it has not been cared for and the computer is often left on charge all day so that has wiped out the battery almost completely.
Overal this is a reliable if not very spectacular laptop with a good sized screen and one that I'm quite happy using for work.
