Advantages: very fast
Disadvantages: price
This really is a fantastic laptop, perhaps its design still isn't anything to compare with some of sonys vaio laptops however there have been some huge improvements down at the HP head quarters and this is no doubt about it one of their best looking laptops yet.
Its also one of their fastest too, sporting a massive 4gb of ram, which is something that you used to struggle to find in a desktop pc and an intel core two duo processor dishing out speeds of 2.6 GHZ.
Having a play on this laptop you soon realise it gives you the ability to do whatever you want to do on it. Unlike some laptops and even desktops iv had, with this you just don't need to worry if that new game you bought will load okay, if that very expensive software will run alright or if you laptop will keep crashing, because this laptop is up to date, and will no doubt still be up to date for quite a while to come.
Its storage is also a very fair 200gb. This doesn't need to much talking about but in terms of memory this really is a lot and unless you were storing millions of music tracks and videos on there then you don't really need to worry too much about filling this.
This is called the mobile workstation for two reasons. The first is that it runs so fast that it can be compared to the non mobile workstations. The second is that it's a little bit bigger than most laptops.
It has a 17 inch screen, great for doing work, playing games on and just anything else you might want to do with it. It also has active matrix technology. This is something being used by more and more laptop manufacturers to date, and its amazing results. Its makes the screen lighter, meaning the laptops lighter, its makes the screen sharper, the pictures shaper and brighter too and makes the whole computing experience so much better.
This does mean it's a little bit bigger than most though, however still very, very portable.
You can still get around 4 hours of battery life out of this machine despite its huge screen which I thinks great. And also its still very light, only weighing 3.4kg this comes in at a similar weight to the 15.4 inch screen laptops and just how they have managed this I am unsure of.
Hp have somehow managed to pack a top notch desktop specification into a very cool, very sleek and thin laptop body. This is a fantastic laptop and if you have to money then its well worth the buy.
And to be honest with you, you would need the money, setting you back over £1300 this might not be something a lot of people are going to go for, but those who do, im sure will agree its worth every penny.
Summary: a dear but good laptop
