Advantages: Good key control, excellent performance
Disadvantages: Poor memory
I purchased this laptop about 18 months ago and have been very satisfied with the use I have got out to date. The performance of the laptop is top rate, with its 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 520M processor. However, one minor disappointment that comes with this laptop is the amount of RAM, which is only 2G. I'll had a few issues with storage of files thats for sure
The laptop comes with 32 bit version of Windows 7 Professional installed. It also comes with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and Windows XP on CDs.
Thats the technical jargon out the way. I'm not a massively technical person. The laptop came with an attachable mouse, a charger and a cover for transporting it in. It also has a light at the top of it, to allow you to visibly see the keys beneath it. The key themselves are well spaced out at and a convinent size, even for big thumbed person like me. One problem I do have with the keyboard is that there is no numeric keyboard. In my job I deal with a lot of numbers, so having to use the top numeric line is more time consuming.
The battery life lasts about three hours, which is pretty reasonable. The charger cable is quite long, allowing me to plug into mains quite some distance away.
There is a touchpad and a touchstick which allows pointer control. The touchpad is my prefered method, as it contains a click functionality. The touchstick doesn't contain this functionality, which in my opinion renders it pointless.
There are three USB ports which enables you to attach many audio devices and external storage drives, such as a USB key.
All in all I have been very satisfied with my laptop, though for the price (£1200) I would have liked a bit more memory. I give it four out of five Dooyoo stars.
