I am a university student studying a design course and this is a replacement laptop i got after having one stolen. So far i am extremely impressed with this laptop.
Being a design student i need to use software that is quite taxing on a computer and uses alot of resources, this laptop can run 3d software such as alias but it can be a bit slow due to the graphics card not being sufficient but considering some people on my course spend thousands on computers i think for a £400 laptop its good that it runs it at all. as for photoshop, it doesn't bat an eyelid. it started to get a bit slow when i was using lots of layers so i bought some extra memory for £30 and fitted it myself.
for someone who isnt good with computers it is easy to use.
one of the only problems i do have with it is that the fan gets quite loud after it has been switched on for a while, also the battery life depleats quite quickly but i just keep it plugged in.
The touch pad is very sensitive so it is really nice to use. once or twice it has switched itself off and a red light has come on for no reason so im not sure why that is. but over all for the money this is a brilliant laptop. i have had less problems with this laptop than my girlfriend has had with her macbook pro.
i would say that if you are on a design course and you have the money go for something with a better graphics card and processor but on a budget its brilliant
