Advantages: "HP" brand, 2gig RAM, geforce graphics card.
Disadvantages: Very poor processor, not suitable for extensive pc users.
HP is one of the few famous and renowned companies to provide high specification and quality laptops to consumers. It's the brand name HP, which consumers trust and believe in. Modern day technology is improving so rapidly that, what you bought today as the latest model with ability of utmost performance; it can be old within couple of days with another newer model with better spec, ironically funny isn't it?
The processor of this laptop is AMD not Intel. So if you really want to compare the processor speed then, athlon 64x2 TK57 is equivalent to Intel dual core, having two 64 bit processor, which is used to consider as an high spec just years ago. But comparing present days, it is just very normal and basic processor having dual core for fundamental daily pc tasks, some simple games and web browsing and for writing your reports. It's got 2 gb ram, which is really impressive and a graphics card geforce 7000. Now both ram and graphics card will allow you to enjoy decent multimedia fun with this laptop. That means, you can watch DVDs and movies in wide screen format which means no black bars will appear in bottom and up of the screen and that's sounds fair enough to me. It's also have 15.4" wide screen, which is just perfect for work or multimedia fun.
Now, there is one BIG truth you need to know that, HP already discontinued to produce almost lots of G600 series laptops. I will provide link in comments of this review for reference. To me it's feeling like kind of lost art, and I would not go for this laptop. But, you certainly will have your warranty with this product from the seller company.
So, this laptop is good enough for daily normal office work, web surfing, watching movies and also allows you play some decent games with min requirements. If you need one decent laptop just for your office work, data entry stuff or research works, it's just perfect for you. It will only cost you below £400.
Make sure what you want to do with your laptop, what types of your works going to cover by your laptop, if that's meet you need, then go buy it.
Cheers.
Summary: Very good for entry level pc works, if that what you are looking for, go buy it.

- 25/02/09 Id have uprated this review as being very useful but I find some of your review really confusing. The reference for example if its really needed should be put into your review or left out - why others need to see references, I'm not quite sure.
Buyers are looking for:
Ease of use
Good software pre-installed Or ease of navigation, design, quality and speed - of which you have mentioned fairly well.
Please tidy up your English so that it is clear and succinct in your review. |
