This Laptop cost me £630 when bought brand new last September, and I have found it to be a brilliant laptop that easily copes my abuse! I have roughly 60gb of music, videos and photos saved onto the 160gb hard drive and it shows no sign of slowing down at all yet. The built in webcam is really handy for use on msn messenger etc and copes really well when I want to use it to take photos or make short movies and play with editing them on Windows Movie Maker, which comes pre-installed on the laptop! HP Compaq Business Notebook 8510p

The laptop looks quite basic, its all black however its flat and squarish design makes it look quite cool rather than looking like a cheap basic laptop. With a Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 processor running at speeds of 2.5 Ghz, this is where the "business" side of the laptop kicks in. It has 2 gb of ram too, and loading times are very fast indeed. There s also the ability to upgrade this to 4gb of ram if you want too, however its very fast already and I doubt that there will be many who need this. The hard drive is 160 GB, not too bad, however I would have liked to see it with at least 250 GB so that your definitely going to have room to store everything you need ...

I have been using this Laptop for approximately 18 months. In terms of a general laptop it is dissapointing. I couldn t run even a half graphics rich game on the system. However, considering that it isn t meant as an entertainment device, this frustration needs to be considered less than the actual processing. For the price, I think the processing power of the laptop is really good. It is a robust piece of kit, I have dropped it on more than one occassion (admittedly not from a great height).
