The HP compaq mobile workstation is trully a mobile workstaion keeping up with it's title. This 8710 series has everything you can ask for in a notebook machine. I had been using mostly Dell laptops in the past but the sleek look and the 17 inch widescreen attracted my attention and so I thought of switching over to HP Compaq. I had to struggle with the keys initially because I wasn't used to the sensitive keyboard and the cursor would keep flying off here and there while I was typing. Its also one of their fastest too, sporting a massive 4gb of ram, which is something that you used to struggle to find in a desktop pc and an intel Core two duo processor dishing out speeds of 2.6 GHZ. Having a play on this laptop you soon realise it gives you the ability to do whatever you want to do on it. I ve got a HP Compaq Business Notebook 6910p, as provided by my work as my Laptop . I ve had a lot of laptops in previous years, and I use it all day, then cart it home for use in the evening too so I do consider myself a bit of a power-user. I ve had this one for just over a year now. Company policy is XP SP2, so, although it comes with Vista on it these days, the one I use has been re-flashed back to XP. I also had it upgraded to 2GB memory on advice from a colleague. I use the machine for general office-duties; Word, Excel, PPT, Access, Outlook, Web etc. and also for development use too; (X)HTML, CSS, PHP, ASP, mySQL.
