Now I don't consider myself to be a technical genius, nor do I consider myself to be a complete novice. Somewhere middle of the road! Looking for a new laptop can be a nightmare and I spent many hours trawling the net to find a good one - and I did! I generally use this laptop for general office based tasks - word, PowerPoint, publisher (although these didn't come included with it) etc and also do enjoying using it online. For my use this HP laptop has been great. As I said I am pretty much an average tech head so what was important to me was ease of use and the ability to do what I want it to when I want it to with relative ease. The speed of the laptop is ... Read the complete review

This Laptop was the third and best laptop i've owned! I use the internet daily, for around 3 hours at a time. So I needed a laptop which was really easy to use. The Pavillion is great, you can save sites to favourites so you can access them again with a click. It even uses how you surf to give you a list of 'suggested sites' which is great when you have time to kill. The Pavillion is also good for my daughter to, she finds it really easy to use when playing on games, and she's only 5! I'm happy to sign on and allow her to find her learning games site on BBC all on her own with only me watching for security. She also watches films on it, and with the huge screen ... I have had previous HP laptops which have disappointed my greatly, but this HP has given me no disappointment at all! It works beautifully on the Windows 7 system and I have had hardly any problems at all. The only problem I have had was when my sound card disappeared, but that was due to a Windows 7 update. Once I installed another update, my sound card reappeared and everything was working well again. Overall, this laptop is extremely good. It is worth it's money and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. Battery life is good, especially on the energy saver setting. This HP is extremely easy to use and has a easy, quick installation. It is very ... Read the complete review

I bought this laptop approximately a month a go. The reason I chose this laptop from the hundreds on offer was that it's physical features were very attractive, it's design really stands out for me, the glossy black outside appeals to me also. I have used it everyday, using the internet, word documents, presentations etc. It is very reliable as it has not frozen/crashed as of yet. The windows 7 system works beautifully, I love it! so much better than vista, it has no setbacks whatsoever. It starts up very quickly, so if I am in a rush to find out something on the net or open a piece of work it does not freeze at all. I can type on ... Read the complete review

I've been using this laptop model for almost a year now and the first thing that really made me choose it is the design. It is fashionable and also has a lot of good physical features. I'm using it for heavy processing, using programs such as Adobe Photoshop and other heavy applications because I'm a graphic artist and it haven't failed me. My only problem would be the heat, not sure if its just me but I noticed that it is a lot hotter than other brands. I remembered that when I got this laptop, it was very slow on start up, that is because of the programs on the start up. So if you want to optimize it, just disable the programs on the start up and its good to ... Read the complete review
