What I mean by this is that when switching between windows or programs it has a tendency to freeze for a few seconds, this can became quite frustrating in my first couple of days, one would expect that the first few days of a Laptops life it is sharp and efficient, sadly this product was not, therefore I chose to return it. I feel this is a computer that is better suited for a teenager or children, not the working professional that relys heavily on their hardware....more

HP Pavilion Dv6-3120sa Entertainment: A great laptop! (227 words)

I got this laptop in December and I still love it. Everything about it is great! Admittedly the battery life is not quite as long as I might have hoped (about 2.5 hours watching movies) but that really doesn't matter to me because I use it plugged in most of the time. I use my laptop a lot for watching movies, playing games and that sort of thing and I was a bit worried that (like my last laptop) it might not be able to cope with it very well and over heat but it hasn't done that. When I was off ill for a few days I used it almost constantly and worked great, the bottom got a little hot but that was it. The laptop has a really good processor which makes ...  Read the complete review

I am a self employed recruitment agent and I purchased this for my everyday out of office use, I was looking for something that stood out but wasn't too expensive, I think this product ticked these boxes, it has a good look, its modern and stylish. However I was also looking for a computer that I was efficient and kept up with my pace (I tend to work very quickly). Unfortunately this product didn't meet my needs in this area, I found that it has slightly longer "thinking time / reaction time" than other Laptops I have had and others that my staff use. What I mean by this is that when switching between windows or programs it has a tendency to freeze for a few ...  Read the complete review

HP Pavilion Dv6-3120sa Entertainment: I love my new laptop! (290 words)

I love the colour of this laptop. I would describe it as a wine red colour. It looks very sleek and elegant. I love the finish of it and it looks (and feels) more expensive than it is. I paid £297 for mine from Tesco Direct (I used discount vouchers). The memory is great. I can store many songs, movies and photos on this laptop without having to delete my items, as I have done in the past with previous laptops. It's easy to store personal items on the laptop and it's easy to view them too. If you have a number of personal items on the laptop (i.e photos, videos) you can "lock" the laptop by setting up a password that only YOU know. That ...  Read the complete review

Ugh! (163 words)

I got this laptop in December. Its a nice big screen and lovely (dare i say mac-style) keyboard, which is great for not getting crumbs in which i destroyed my last laptop with. The battery life has been..ok, but has recently started dying down to about 45 mins at full charge. Which is annoying, to say the least. The fan is LOUD AS HELL, all the time, and if you touch it you will burn your hand 75% of the time. There are a couple of sockets over the fan, which heat up and burn as well. The speakers are awful, especially for a 'entertainment laptop'. The graphics card is decent, I'll give it that, but if theres more than two people watching a film on it, you ...  Read the complete review
