I used this Laptop for about 12 months at work up until a recent hardware refresh took place and we were all given new laptops. I hadn t used a HP laptop before and was left extremely impressed with the performance of the laptop. I been working in the the IT industry as a support technician for the past 5 years and it s one of the most realible laptop/PC s I have used or supported. The latop is quick to start up and can handle me running various applications. I have found in the past with a lot of laptops that the quick start up speeds when you first take it out of the box quickly dimishes, but not with this laptop. I have owned this Laptop for just over a year now and I wish I had chosen a different laptop to purchase for my first year at university. Because it is small and compact an USB external cd/DVD rom drive is needed for any entertainment use and as it is advertised and named HP Pavillion entertainment it just seems like a lot of hassle to enjoy this entertainment. Having a laptop I would expect it to be very portable, however with this external drive it means it is very awkward to use unless you are sitting at a desk or some sort of hard surface. Furthermore I would have thought with a 4GB Ram the speed of the laptop would have been faster than it is, it often takes a while ...
